IGOR'S THEMEEARFQUAKE

IGOR'S THEME is the opening track to Tyler, the Creator's sixth studio album Igor (2019). It is an ominous track that introduces the listener to some of the album's soundscape with the chorus sung by Lil Uzi Vert.[1][2] The song's drums come from "Head West" by Attention and some vocals from "Scatin (Toward the Light)'" by Dâm-Funk.[3][4][5][6]

Fittingly, this track was used as the first teaser for the album. The quick video was shared on May 1, sixteen days before the album's release. The song's visuals feature eighteen clones of Tyler staring blankly into the distance before one starts dancing to the drums about twenty-four seconds into the track.[7]

Background[]

The album's features were not announced immediately upon its release, so many people did not expect the chorus to have been sung by rapper Lil Uzi Vert.[8]

YES, THATS LIL UZI VERT ON IGORS THEME, THOUGHT YALL KNEW

Uzi would go on to sample Tyler's voice from his Camp Flog Gnaw 2019 set in his single "Futsal Shuffle 2020," released later the same year.[9]
