RUNNING OUT OF TIME is the fifth song from Tyler, the Creator's sixth studio album Igor (2019). It is at times a gentle ballad about feeling as though the singer's partner is losing interest in them.[1][2] The song has backing vocals from Jessy Wilson, as well as a minimal vocal sample from "Hit It Run" by Run-DMC in the background of the song.[3][4]
During the Igor Tour, the song was positioned after "Boredom" from Flower Boy (2017), with a special transition played between the two. Only the transition was added and the beginning of this song was pitched down during the performances.[5]
In April 2024, Tyler performed the song with Childish Gambino during his headlining set at the Coachella festival.[6]
