Samuel is a fictional character and the main antagonist from the third studio album, Wolf of American rapper/record producer Tyler, the Creator. Sam is introduced in the opening track "WOLF" and is also featured in Earl Sweatshirt's "WHOA" music video, along with "Sam (Is Dead)".
Biography[]
Before being sent to Camp Flog Gnaw, Samuel was a lonely kid who got severely bullied at school, was a social outcast, and didn't have a great relationship with his stepfather. As revealed in "Pigs", Sam finally snapped and killed all of his bullies with the four "Sams" which later led him to being sent to Camp Flog Gnaw. Sam soon meets Salem at the camp as they later become a couple which makes Sam become insanely jealous and protective due to the fact that Salem is his first and only girlfriend. When Wolf Haley arrives to the camp, Sam warns Wolf to stay away from him and Salem's relationship which he ignores when Sam leaves the camp for a to make a drug run as Wolf and Salem start hanging out with each other. Sam doesn't come back to the camp until "PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer" as he finds out from L-Boy that Salem has been cheating on him while he's been gone to drop off a package (drug deal). In "Rusty", Sam goes on the hunt for Wolf as he ends up shooting Earl Sweatshirt, which was a way of sending him a message (hence why Earl is not featured on Goblin). Then on track "Trashwang," Sam starts the war at Camp Flog Gnaw, his team vs. Wolf's team, who wins is unknown. Afterwards on "Treehome95", Wolf and Salem end up getting back together. Sam is later revealed to be another one of Tyler's alter-egos and is killed by Tyler in "Sam (Is Dead)" (as the name of the song suggests). Later, at the end of "Lone," Dr. T.C. brings up Samuel. Dr. T.C. asks Wolf if he has seen Samuel, in which Wolf threatens to kill Samuel the next time he sees him. However, because they have not seen him, he has already died.
