Concept[]

This album is the final installment in the Wolf Trilogy, although it takes place after the events of the first album Bastard and follows Wolf who is sent by Dr. TC to a camp for troubled teenagers called "Camp Flog Gnaw". Upon his arrival, he is told to stay away from everyone by a camper named Sam. In "Cowboy", Sam warns Wolf to stay away from his girlfriend Salem as he is extremely overprotective of her. However in "48", Sam leaves the camp to make a drug run as Wolf and Salem end up meeting each other at a party and have sex. When Sam returns in "Bimmer", he finds out from L-Boy that Wolf and Salem have started dating and are on a date down by the lake. Sam expresses how he loves yet hates Salem at the same time in the song "IFHY" as Wolf and Salem are heard at the end talking about why Sam is the way he is. Sam's backstory is then revealed in "Pigs" by Salem, as it turns out he was a kid who was bullied a lot and killed all of his bullies, his crush who rejected him, and his abusive step-father when he finally had enough of the abuse. Sam then goes out hunting for Wolf in "Rusty" and ends up killing Earl Sweatshirt as a way of sending a message to Wolf. On "Trashwang" Sam starts a war between him and Wolf, who wins is unknown. After the war Wolf gets back together with Salem on the track "Treehome95". While Wolf and Salem are down by the lake, Sam is killed by Tyler in "Sam (Is Dead)" from the album The OF Tape Vol. 2. After "Treehome95" Wolf goes back to his room and is sent to Dr. TC after being caught masturbating by Clancy at the end of "Tamale". In the final track "Lone", Wolf ends up having a therapy session with "Dr. TC" where he talks about the death of his grandmother (based on the real-life death of Tyler's grandmother). The album ends with Wolf saying that if he saw Sam he would kill him, as Wolf is unaware Sam is already dead.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first album by Okonma to have a less dark and more lighthearted tone, he revealed that he wanted to shift away from the themes of his two previous albums "Bastard" and "Goblin" because he wasn't interested in talking about "rape and cutting up bodies" anymore.
  • In September 2013, Okonma filmed a trailer for a film that was suppose to be made based off of the album but later revealed in an interview that he only made it cause he was bored.
  • This is the last album to feature the character of "Dr. TC".
  • The album is technically a "concept album" but Okonma doesn't reveal in what particular order that "Wolf" falls into the trilogy of "Bastard" and "Goblin", But most people think the order is either Bastard - Wolf - Goblin or Wolf - Bastard - Goblin.
