Wolf Haley is a fictional character and main protagonist of Tyler, The Creator's album "WOLF", as well as a character from the Wolf Trilogy. Introduced in said album, Wolf is a idealized version of Tyler himself; being described as "This...guy is THE guy that I really wanna be." by Tyler.
Biography[]
Wolf is sent to Camp Flog Gnaw, a Summer Camp/Mental Health Correction Facility for teenagers; possibly due to the passing of his Grandmother. There he meets Dr. TC, who then instructs Sam, a fellow attendee to show Wolf around the camp. Despite Wolf's kind attitude, he is threatened by Sam and told to "stay the fuck out of our way".
Despite their previous encounter, Sam still shows Wolf around the camp. As Sam boasts about his group "The Dead Sams" to Wolf, the two are interrupted by Dr TC. While Sam insults Dr TC, Wolf catches sight of a girl. Sam tells Wolf it's his girlfriend Salem, and to stay away from her. Sam then tells Wolf the story of how he met Salem in "Awkward" before Wolf's tour presumedly ends.
Despite Sam's aggression towards Wolf, Wolf integrates himself into Sam's social circle. Singing about being a part of Golf Wang in "Slater". During the song, Wolf grows closer to Salem; as the two now share bike rides together through the camp. With Wolf becoming more and more attracted to her. "Slater" ends with Wolf showing off his bike to Frank Ocean, only to get made fun off and called a loser.
Sam leaves the camp to go on a drug run, leaving Wolf and Salem behind during "PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer". The two sit together by a fire place, with Wolf being proud of his new Camp Flog Gnaw badge. Wolf laughs with his friends, sitting around a campfire while eating s'mores, deciding he doesn't want to leave the camp. Wolf's attention turns to Salem, saying she reminds her of his Bimmer. Revealing the two have already had sex, and describing it using his BMW, with his infatuation only growing stronger. Wolf then takes Salem for a date down by the camp's lake, unaware that Sam returned to the camp. Sam is told by Lionel/L-Boy that the two have been hanging out together by the lake, which enrages Sam; who's anger isn't quelled by baked beans.
Sam spends his night struggling to control his emotions, going back and forth between if he hates or loves Salem. Meanwhile, Wolf and Salem continue their date by the lake. Wolf asks why Sam is such a dick, to which Salem says he's just a dweeb. Telling Wolf he's only at the camp because he ran away from home, Wolf asks why to which it infers Salem talks about the reason, and the reason being is him starting a school shooting and killing all of his bullies, explained in the song "Pigs".
Sam settles on loving Salem despite her cheating, and directs all his anger towards Wolf; deciding to kill him as revenge. Casey Veggies runs to Wolf, telling him Sam is coming to kill him; with Wolf deciding to kill Sam first. Sam begins hunting for Wolf, killing Earl Sweatshirt to send a message throughout the camp. Wolf, who is still at the lake ends up hearing the gunshot; asking what it was.
Sam continues his hunt for Wolf, but is ultimately unable to find him by the end of the album. Sam later ends up executed in "Sam Is Dead" by a militia, however Wolf is unaware of this.
Wolf runs from the lake to take cover in the boys cabin. Where he starts masturbating to blow off the stress of Sam's attempts on his life. Clancy ends up stumbling upon Wolf, much to Wolf's embarrassment. Clancy then drags Wolf out of the room, taking him to Camp Flog Gnaws office.
There Wolf meets with Dr TC yet again, who begins an impromptu therapy session with Wolf. Wolf confesses his feelings of loneliness and a desire to quit making music. Before opening up about the loss of his Grandmother, and how it distorted his life. Being his first death, he was unable to approach it; leaving him stuck in a lost state.
Dr TC. consoles Wolf, before asking him he has seen Sam. Wolf tells him no, but says he would kill Sam if he had the chance.

- Tyler's "Wolf Haley" alter ego is heavily inspired by Eminem's alter ego "Slim Shady"
- "Haley" has been said by Tyler to be the last name he wishes he had, since "Okonma" belongs to his absent Father.
- Wolf's father is canonically named Thurnis Haley.
- Wolf is seen being jumped by "The Dead Sams" in the "Wolf Movie" trailer, most likely after trying to become close with Salem; whether this is canon or not is debatable.
- Wolf wears striped t-shirts, jeans, and either a blue or green hat etched with "WOLF".
- Both "Wolf" and "Tyler" are used interchangeably, meaning "Wolf Haley" is just a stage name used during his stay at Camp Flognaw.[1]
